it's a joy

Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."

Gelosia

Yesterday, I turned in my time off slip to my boss for a big chunk of time I will not be at work in July. (3 weeks to be exact.) Actually, most of that I will not even be in the country. Just a few weeks ago, Jerod and I put down a deposit on our honeymoon to Italy and I promised to post our itinerary to make you all green with envy. Yes, I do realize that I suck, but who cares? I'm going to Italy!!

Days 1-5:
  • Fly into Rome
  • Eat italian food
  • Day tour of Naples and Pompei
  • Eat some more italian food
  • Afternoon tour of Vatican
  • More food
  • Afternoon tour of the Ancient City
  • Train to Florence
Days 6-8:
  • Arrive in Florence
  • Maybe find some kind of Italian food to eat
  • Day tour of Pisa
  • Food
  • Track down David (The REAL one, right Susan?)
  • Train through Tuscany to Siena
Days 9-11:
  • Arrive in Siena
  • Drink wine
  • Take Chianti day tour
  • Drink more wine
  • Stumble onto train to Venice
Days 12-14:
  • Arrive in Venice
  • Contemplate the "floating city"
  • Find a McDonalds to take a break from all the Italian Food!
  • Take a moonlit gondola ride to put a perfect end on a perfect trip
  • Fly home
Any suggestions on what else we need to see in these cities? These are just the pre-planned tours that we have set up, but we have lots of time to see other things!

By the way, we are open to donations. *wink* Just kidding! Well, only kind of kidding....
